Ksenija Ostriž

Deputy Mayor of the City of Koprivnica

I was born in Koprivnica in 1972, where I completed both primary and secondary school. I graduated in 1996 from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zagreb, earning a degree in economics. Since 2017, I have served as Deputy Mayor of the City of Koprivnica. Prior to that, I spent many years working at Koprivnica Secondary School as a principal, deputy principal, teacher of economics-related subjects, and head of lifelong learning programs. I was also the first director of the business incubator (now “Enter” Koprivnica) and a member of the Management Board of the North Regional Development Agency – DAN. My key competencies I would highlight are organizing, preparing, and conducting classes, planning and organizing work processes, leading and managing institutions, evaluating educational programs, developing projects, and managing and implementing them. As a chair or member of numerous committees and boards in local and regional government, I have actively contributed to shaping public policies in the fields of economics, ecology, education, and culture. I am a mother of two, and I enjoy culture and the arts, reading, and spending time in nature.
