Provisions for the protection of personal data relating to social networks

On the Library’s website, the head of personal data processing has installed Facebook components and Instagram components.

When you open a website and click on the logo of a social network provider, you will be taken to the external page of each provider. If your Facebook and Instagram profile is registered or opened on Flickr, social networks can recognize through your user profile that you have visited the website if you have clicked to open one of these social networks. For example, if you click on the Facebook logo, your internet browser will forward the relevant information to Facebook, which will store it. If you do not want social networks to collect and store information about your visit to the website, you must log out of your profile on a particular social network before clicking on the Facebook or Instagram logo.

Information, such as the user’s IP address, is not forwarded immediately when you open our website, but only when you click on the Facebook or Pinterest logo.

Please download information on the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of data by individual social networks, as well as possible privacy settings from the data protection statements on the provider’s website, which you can access via these links:

Google Analytics Privacy Policy (with anonymization feature)

The Personal Data Processing Manager has installed Google Analytics components (with an anonymization function) on the website. Google Analytics is an online service whose purpose is to collect and analyze data on the behavior of visitors to the website. The Internet analytics service, among other things, collects information about the website from which the user came, which subpages he visited or how often and for how long he browses a particular subpage. Internet analytics is used to optimize a website.

The purpose of the Google Analytics component is to analyze traffic on the Library’s website. Google uses the data and information we collect, inter alia, to evaluate your use of the website and to provide reporting that reflects your activity on the website and to provide other services related to your use of the website.

The user may object to the collection and processing of personal data generated by Google Analytics, which is related to the use of the Library’s website. To do this, the user must download and install the browser add-on located at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This JavaScript add-on lets Google Analytics know that information about a user’s visit to the website may not be collected or processed. Google considers the installation of this add-on to be a valid complaint against the collection of personal data. If at any subsequent time the user’s computer system is deleted, formatted or reinstalled, the user will need to reinstall the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics. If for some reason the user or an authorized person has removed the add-on to the browser or the add-on to the browser is disabled, it can always be reinstalled or activated.

Additional information and Google’s privacy guidelines can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/ and http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html .

Additional information related to Google Analytics can be found at https://www.google.com/analytics/.

Data storage

We store personal data in accordance with:

  • Rulebook on protection of archival and registry material,
  • for as long as it takes for the requested service or the service for which you have given consent to be provided, unless otherwise provided by law.
