Günter Baumgarn works as a media educator in the MakerMobil, a mobile media and maker workshop. He holds degrees in media and political science and has been working in the mobile library of the Berlin Mitte City Library since 2019. What he finds exciting in his daily work is combining making and media projects with on-site educational work, so that as many young people as possible get involved in creating and leave their comfort zone of simply consuming media. This can range from sophisticated and creative use of technology, such as 3D printers and laser cutters, to making flashlights from popsicle sticks, brushbots, or building solutions with Lego bricks. In his free time, he enjoys volleyball, mountain biking, and hiking.
