Danijela Petrić, a librarian employed at the Fran Galović Koprivnica Public Library since 1996. Since 2001. She has worked as an Librarian in the Children’s Department. She is particularly dedicated to developing programs to encourage reading in children and early literacy. She has designed and runs programs such as the “Reading Olympics”, “Books for Babies”, “Small Libraries in Pediatric Ambulance”, “Storytelling for Babies and Toddlers” and “BookTalk for Educators: Get Inspired by New Literature for Kindergarten Work”. She is the editor and co-author of the book Let’s Play! Read to Me!: Stories, Games and Rhymes for Babies and Toddlers and the editor-in-chief of the children’s application “Mythical Creatures – a Digital Story”. She is most fulfilled by working with children and designing new, creative programs that connect reading, play and shared experience. When he is not devising new library programs, he recharges his batteries in nature, by the sea, on trips or in the kitchen, because good food, just like a good story, brings people together.
