He graduated in Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka and completed the study programme of librarianship at the Department of Information Sciences, University of Zadar. His library career began at Rijeka City Library. After that he worked as a graduate librarian at the library of the Maritime School in Bakar for ten years. Since 2016, he has been the director of the Rijeka City Library. Prior to entering the library profession, he worked as a television journalist, presenter and editor.
He is an author of several professional and scientific articles, and a participant in national and international professional and scientific conferences. He is the author and editor of the monograph “School Ships of the Maritime School in Bakar” (Školski brodovi Pomorske škole Bakar) and editor of the books “Hope” (Nadanja) and the “Ways of the Silk Road – Silk Adventure” 2014 (Putovima puta svile – Silk Adventure).
He played in several bands, and the longest in the band Palazzo Ploech. He loves new wave music and motorcycle trips and has published several motorcycle travelogs.
